About

Charles Obiri-Yeboah (b.1995, London,UK) is a contemporary British-Ghanaian artist whose work centres on social realism through an abstracted lens. Having studied BA Comparative Literature and MA Critical and Creative Analysis at Goldsmiths University, his practice is informed by postcolonial approaches.

He enjoys forging dynamically striking compositions, with a bold, expressionist usage of colour. He straddles the line between familiarity and cubist-tinged representation, eliciting thoughts on identity, belonging and the hybridity of the black diasporan experience.
